All of our undergraduate courses are offered on a part-time basis (with the exception of the MSci in International Relations and Global Issues). Teaching and supervision are only offered during the normal working week, but we do recognise the need of part-time students to fit their studies around their hours of work, and the modular course of study offered by the School of Politics and International Relations allow some flexibility in the hours of attendance.
Further details of the course of study can be found in our Undergraduate Degree programmes. If you have any specific queries please do contact us

The School welcomes applications by mature students. The PhD itself can also be undertaken as part-time study, consisting of six years research plus two years writing-up.
Doctoral research can also be undertaken through long distance study. It is, however, the obligation of the student to come to Nottingham University several times per year for face-to-face supervisions.
