The School of Politics and International Relations is one of the UK’s leading providers of postgraduate education, with an international reputation of excellence for its research and teaching.
We host a large and active graduate community within the School, with members from all corners of the globe.
The School offers six major Postgraduate Taught programmes, as well as three Research-Track Masters programmes. These programmes are taught by many world-leading academic experts within their respective fields, as well as attracting many visiting scholars, distinguished practitioners, and talks and activities. These contribute to the vibrant research and learning culture that makes Nottingham a truly unique place to study.
The School is consistent in producing high-achieving graduates across a diverse range of careers, from senior government officials and civil servants to journalists to leading members of international corporations and organisations.
The School offers a variety of full and partial scholarships on an annual basis, as well as being part of Nottingham’s ESRC Doctoral Training Centre with access to its competitive scholarship scheme.
Additionally the School contributes to a New Double MA degree option, between the University of Nottingham and University of Konstanz, Germany.
This is an outstanding and international 2-year programme hosted by two prestigious institutions. Students who successfully complete the programme receive an MA degree in ‘Politics and Public Administration’ (University of Konstanz) and an MA in one of the University of Nottingham’s School of Politics’ fields of specialization:
