What sources of funding and scholarships are available?

Information regarding funding can be found on several of the university web pages which may be helpful.

  • The funding pages for the international office are specifically for International students.
  • The funding pages for the Graduate School lists funding information from both internal and external sources and should provide lots of useful information.

The School also offers some funding which is available to Home and EU applicants.

Do I need to have studied Politics or International Relations previously?
You do not need to have taken a Politics related degree previously to make an application to one of our Masters programmes
 
What are the fees?

What are the typical living expenses?
There is no magic figure however guidance can be found on the university prospectus web pages.
 
How do I apply?
You are encouraged to apply using the university's online application process. Full guidance can be found on the University postgraduate prospectus web pages
 
How many hours of lectures and seminars will I have?
There is no typical timetable, however, for full time students you can expect to have at least 6 hours of contact time per week. It is important to understand that students are also expected to undertake independent study under the guidance of academic staff.
 
Does the School offer any of the MA programmes by distance-learning?

None of our masters’ programmes are currently offered by distance-learning.
