Two students from the School of Politics and IR were successful in the competition for the annual Elizabeth and JD Marsden Prize. Lisa Erlandsen won 2nd Prize (£750) and Verity Robins won 3rd Prize (£500) in the female student category.
There are three prizes awarded annually to male and female students respectively, so to secure two of them in one School is a really outstanding achievement. It follows last year’s success by Peter Blair who won 1st Prize in the male student category.
Matthew Francis, a Postgraduate Research Student at the School of Politics and International Relations, University of Nottingham, was recently interviewed by Chris Bowlby for the BBC History Magazine. Matthew is quoted in the article 'Co-operation in politics is hardly a new idea'.
