Biography

I joined the department as an Assistant Professor in September 2017. I hold a BA in Politics (First Class) from the University of Nottingham, and an MSc in Social and Political Theory (Distinction) from Birkbeck, University of London. I completed my PhD at the University of Nottingham in June 2017.

Expertise Summary

I am a political theorist. My work deals with the interface between the history of political thought and contemporary political theory, with a particular concern for debates over peoplehood and collective agency.

Teaching Summary

I am part of the Political Theory teaching team in the department. This year, I will be teaching:

  • M11151: Political Theory from Ancient to Modern
  • M11152: Modern Political Theory
  • M12101: Social and Global Justice

In previous years, I have taught 'Democracy and its Critics', and 'Philosophy of Social Science'.
