Career opportunities

Our graduates are highly sought after by top employers because of the strong academic foundation and transferable skills they gain during their degree course.

All have achieved successful careers in a range of different areas including print and television journalism, broadcasting, television and film production, advertising, marketing and personnel as well as the commercial and financial sectors. Others have entered government, public affairs, party politics, non-governmental organisations, charities and development agencies. Some of our graduates take further courses of study or research posts.

Opportunities for further study within the School include a range of taught postgraduate MA courses in Diplomacy, International Relations, International Security and Terrorism and MPhil/PhD and MRes research opportunities. Research degree supervision in most of the major sub-areas of the discipline of Politics and International Relations is offered by the increasing number of academic staff working in the School.
