External Dimension of the EU’s Internal Security: Impact on Fight against Transnational Crime in Turkey
Changing nature of security threats indicate that security cooperation is an essential element to preserve international security and stability in the world.
Especially after 2001, the EU has developed its domestic security policy -Justice Home Affairs (JHA)- on effective cooperation not only inside but also beyond its borders. These new policies seek to improve cooperation with third countries and minimize possible internal security threats towards the EU.
The aim of the study is to analyse interactions between Turkey and the EU within the context of External Dimension of JHA under theoretical frame of new-institutionalism.
