Postgraduate

The School of Psychology offers both Phd by Research and taught courses for postgraduates.

We currently have around 70 PhD students working within our core research areas, and in collaboration with other University Schools and Institutes. Home / EU students can see a list of current opportunities on our PhD studentships page. We also welcome applications for research from self-funded and international students .

Our taught courses include 

• an MSc in Brain Imaging which provides training for researchers interested in a wide variety of techniques from Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, 
• an MSc in Psychological Research Methods (through the Institute for Work, Health and Organisations)which provides training in basic and advanced research skills in the psychological sciences, and 
• a Diploma in Psychology aimed at graduates who wish to pursue a career in psychology, but who do not possess an honours degree in psychology.

We also offer two Professional and Practitioner courses in Educational Psychology; 

• the Doctorate of Applied Educational Psychology (Professional Training) course is for anyone wishing to train as an Educational Psychologist, 
• and we also offer a research CPD course, the Doctorate of Educational Psychology (Applied) for qualified Educational Psychologists
