Menus of activities (Pre-16, Post-16 and Access and Vocational) for pupils aged 11 upwards, have been developed for schools and colleges by the Widening Participation Team. The University’s library service has also developed a menu of activities giving local schools access to the resources it holds. These can be found in the menus on the right.
Schools and colleges can request activities from these menus for their students. A separate menu of activity exists for students aged 16 and older studying for Access and Vocational qualifications. This menu is designed to reflect the specific needs of this cohort and therefore incorporates similar activities to those listed under the Ambition Nottingham scheme below.
The majority of the sessions are held in the school or college although some of the sessions are run on campus. In these sessions widening participation staff are assisted by Student Ambassadors who act as role models and inspire pupils to consider higher education.
For more information please contact Emma Szembek, Schools and Colleges Manager or Teresa Flowers, Access and Vocational Manager.
