Eligibility and Applications
Eligibility for the Programme
The Experience Programme at the University of Nottingham is open to all students (home UK only) in Year 12 or equivalent at state/maintained schools or colleges in the region.
The entry criteria are as follows - students must:

have achieved 7 A* - C grages at GCSE (or equivalent), including in Maths and English

be from a family eligible for Child Tax Credit

be studying relevant subjects for the strands applied for
Places are limited and priority will be given to students who:

are first generation to attend Higher Education
-
are currently or have previously been in Local Authority care/looked after**
-
have a disability affecting their studies
-
are attending low performing school/colleges (based on average point score per student)
Application process
Applications for the 2012 Experience Programme have now closed. Applications for the 2013 Experience Programme will open in January 2013.

** This means children and young people who are (or have been) in local authority care. To be given priority for a place on the Programme, you should have been in local authority care for a period of at least 13 weeks after reaching the age of 12. The period of 13 weeks does not have to be continuous.
