Ambassador Profiles

Natalie
Natalie
2nd year Psychology student
I was a participant on the Summer School 2007 and had an amazing time sampling university life, meeting lots of new people, and learning a lot about myself. By the end of the week I realised I was no longer worried about coming to university, instead I felt confident in meeting new people and realised that university was the right place for me!

Jonathan
2nd year Medical student
I was a participant on a Summer School in Year 12 and although I didn’t know anyone and was nervous about living at university for the week, I very quickly settled in and the jam-packed week ensured I never felt bored or uninvolved. The week will be amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed myself, both then as a participant, and last year as an Ambassador.

Marilyn
1st year Nutrition student
There can be a limited opportunity to experience student life and living away from home, which is why I think the Summer School will be a great experience for you. There will be a huge variety of things to do and lots of different people to meet but I am most looking forward to sharing my experience of university life with you.

Shyam
Shyam
2nd year Neuroscience student
The Summer School Programme really helped me to decide what I wanted to take at university, as well as settling any doubts or fears I had: financial, academic or social. You will have an amazing week here – making new friends, enjoying university life and laughing at the Ambassadors’ entertainment! I’m looking forward to seeing you all soon!

Sophie
Sophie
3rd year Politics student
Being the first in my family who had thought about going to university, there was so much I didn’t know about it! The academic sessions with current university lecturers gave me the confidence in my academic ability, and the experience of living in halls really helped to put me at ease when I left for university the following September. This experience will be one of the best of your life.
