As part of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Group the Nottingham Advanced Robotics Laboratory has access to a number of excellent facilities and equipment for undertaking research including robotic, metrology and production systems. This includes the Future Automated Aircraft Assembly Demonstrator (FA3D) - Flezible/Reconfigurable cell with multiple industrial robotoic arms and data capture, postion tracking/measurement and inspection capabilities; Human friendly robot systems such as the Baxter robot; and other systems.
