Current Research

I am investigating the presence of a unified story in the Hebrew Bible's 'Song of Songs.' My approach is to use narrative techniques from mainstream narratology and apply them to the poetry in the Hebrew Bible.

I am secondarily also investigating whether any presence of a unified story points toward a recognisable theology and how this might relate to Jewish and Christian understandings of the Song from the book's reception history.

Past Research

The literary techniques that establish the chronological backbone of events in Ezra/Nehemiah.

An investigation of how this might relate to the book of Zechariah

Future Research

I am hoping to investigate the historical and archaeological evidence for the series of biblical events that are purported to have taken place in the Persian period.
