Laura's PhD aims to inform the international initiative Harmonising Outcome Measures in Eczema (HOME) which aims to develop a core outcome set for eczema clinical trials. She is conducting a series of validation studies of the Patient Oriented Eczema Measure (POEM), which is a patient self-report measure of eczema symptoms. She is also leading an international study using online focus groups with eczema patients and parents of children with eczema to explore their experiences of control relating to their/thier child's eczema. She is also looking at patients' and carers' experiences of involvement in the HOME process.
