Evidence based update meeting 2017 - Each year an evidence based update meeting is organised by the UK DCTN and chaired by Professor Hywel Williams. The day is aimed mainly at dermatologists and specialist dermatology nurses, although anyone with an interest in the area is welcome. The topic for 2017 is eczema and contact dermatitis. Better Evaluation of Evidence and Statistics (BEES) Course - This increasingly popular three-day course is aimed at dermatologists looking to improve both critical appraisal skills and those skills needed to participate in clinical research projects. It is organised and taught by members of the CEBD, along with colleagues from the East Midlands Research Design Service.
Summer School 2017: Understanding the principles of Systematic Reviews - This one day course will provide you with the appropriate skills to understand and critically appraise systematic reviews. You will learn how best to use online databases and have a go at undertaking some of the key steps required in a systematic review.
Critical Appraisal of Clinical Trials in Dermatology (Online course) - This free online course is an introduction to critical appraisal of clinical trials in dermatology. It is intended primarily for researchers and healthcare professionals working in dermatology. This unique course is interactive and takes about 45 minutes to to complete.
