The Centre for Late Antique and Byzantine Studies (CLABS) is keen to engage with the public to share knowledge.
Our departments, the Department of Archaeology and the Department of Classics, have their own related activities. Some of these are detailed below.
If you have any specific queries or suggestions please contact the Centre Directors, Doug Lee or Andrew Poulter.
The Department of Archaeology is actively involved in a number of Knowledge Transfer projects with public groups, commercial archaeology, industry, museums and national heritage bodies.
Projects include Caistor Roman Town Project and the University Museum.
If you or your organisation is interested in exploring the possibility of setting up a collaborative project with us or exploring what we can offer please contact Dr Jon Henderson.
The Department of Classics plays an active part in the Nottingham Classical Association which aims to promote interest in the classical world and to increase public awareness of the contribution and importance of classics to education and public life.
The Department also engages with the East Midlands Association of Classical Teachers (EMACT).
