MPH graduate selected to Mandela Washington Fellowship

Congratulations to Dr Wanjiku Gichuru from Kenya, a graduate of our MPH (International Health) programme in 2015, for having been accepted as a Mandela Washington Fellow 2016. She is attending a six-week course in leadership in public management at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in the U.S., which will culminate in a presidential summit in Washington, D.C., including a town hall meeting with US President Obama this week.

The Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders is an initiative of US President Obama under the banner of Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) aimed at nurturing and developing leadership skills and providing networking opportunities for young Africans to hone their skills in their field of expertise.
