Teenage Abortion: A Sociolinguistic Analysis
My research focuses on the analysis of teenage pregnancy discourse (in this instance referring to policy documents, popular media, healthcare leaflets and other widely disseminated literature) and its relationship to and influence on the decisions and ultimate experiences of women who undergo (and have undergone) abortions as teenagers. The aim of my research is to improve discourse and communication within healthcare services providing care to pregnant teenagers so that they are able to make well-informed decisions.
