Biography

Helen is Professor of Neonatal Medicine at the University and Honorary Consultant Neonatologist for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

She graduated in Physiological Sciences and in Medicine from the University of Oxford Medical School and trained in Paediatrics & Neonatology in Oxford and Nottingham. She was awarded her PhD from the University of Nottingham in 2003.

She was appointed as Director of the Academic Unit of Population and Lifespan Sciences in 2021 and is also Director of Nottingham's Clinical Academic Training Programme. She has previously served as Head of the former Division of Child Health, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, as Director of Infrastructure & Personnel and as Deputy Head of School.
