Following successful stints in Oswestry and Ludlow, the 'Place-Names of Shropshire' exhibition will be coming to Shrewsbury this autumn. Accompanied by a fully-illustrated 50-page colour booklet, the exhibition will be hosted by Shropshire Archives.
The purpose of the exhibition is to publicise the research being carried out and increase awareness among residents of Shropshire of the rich history of their county's place-names. The research assistance and archival expertise provided by Shropshire Archives staff have been of invaluable benefit to the exhibition and the project's research publications, making the Archives the perfect setting for this exhibition.
