Learning Sciences Research Institute (LSRI)

The Learning Sciences Research Institute (LSRI) is a vibrant, multi-disciplinary group who are learning about learning - through collaboration, invention, implementation, and dissemination.

We conduct internationally recognised research into the cognitive, social and cultural aspects of learning to increase our understanding and to enrich education through the design of innovative technologies or educational practices.

Our work explores the fundamental processes and practices of learning by researching within preschools, schools, universities, colleges, workplaces, and informal learning centres. We also pursue fundamental questions in our laboratory space.
