Description

Lisa French is visiting the Division of Primary Care on Wednesday 22 February 2017, and will give a talk called “OpenPrescribing - supporting safe & cost effective prescribing”. Lisa is a Community Manager at the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, University of Oxford.

OpenPrescribing.net is a free online tool allowing clinicians, medicines management teams, researchers and members of the public to monitor prescribing trends down to individual practice level. They have taken the large, unwieldy open access NHS prescribing dataset and have developed tools to make it easy for people to explore the data. This presentation will demonstrate OpenPrescribing, and will discuss some of their research on the prescribing dataset.

This presentation is part of a joint seminar/skills programme organised by the Divisions of Primary Care and Epidemiology and Public Health.
