Research Staff Group (RSG)
Partly in response to pressure from funding bodies, The University of Nottingham policy is to provide institutional support (and monitoring of that support) for all research staff. A review of research training provision was completed in 2007/08 session and a framework agreed. The RSG hold responsibility for the University’s action plan for the implementation of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Research Staff.
Training for research staff has been the responsibility of the Graduate School since 1 September 2008. In order to review policy and monitor its implementation the RSG was set up, reporting directly to Research Board. The group members meet every semester. Contact Dr Victoria Sedman for further information on the RSG.
