Research-Only Staff Group (ROSG)
Partly in response to pressure from funding bodies, UoN policy is to provide institutional support (and monitoring of that support) for all research staff. A review of research training provision was completed in 2007/08 session and a framework agreed.
From 1st September 2008, training for research staff was the responsibility of the Graduate School. In order to review policy and monitor its implementation, the Research-Only Staff Group was set up under the chairmanship of Professor Sarah O’Hara in November 2008, reporting directly to Research Committee – now the Research and Knowledge Transfer Board. Contact Dr Victoria Sedman for futher information on the ROSG.
For IT support, contact the Staff IT Helpline by telephone +44 (0)115 95 16677, or by email.
