Welcome

Welcome to the Nottingham Digestive Diseases Centre Biomedical Research Unit (NDDC BRU).  This is funded by The National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) and is a partnership between the NIHR, the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and the University of Nottingham.  It focuses on patient based translational research in luminal gastroenterology and hepatology. 

It is the only BRU in the UK conducting research on the gastrointestinal tract and one of only two focusing on the liver.

Paper on biomarkers and liver fibrosis published in leading journal Hepatology

Description
A paper examining studies on biomarkers in the diagnosis of liver fibrosis by Dr Neil Guha, Clinical Associate Professor, and three collaborators from the US and Canada has been published in leading specialist journal Hepatology.
