We are proud to be involved in a wide variety of training programmes, courses and clinical meetings focussing on our strengths of epidemiology and evidence based practice.
This increasingly popular three-day course is aimed at dermatologists looking to improve both critical appraisal skills and those skills needed to participate in clinical research projects.
It is organised and taught by members of the CEBD, along with colleagues from the East Midlands Research Design Service.
This is a one-day follow-up course focusing on paper writing and publications.
Each spring, CEBD hosts an annual evidence based update meeting which focuses on a different topic each year and has become a firm favourite on the dermatology meetings calendar.
This one-day meeting seeks to summarise the most recent evidence in the area considered in the form of systematic reviews and recently completed clinical trials. Recent topics covered include infectious skin disorders, blistering skin diseases and urticaria.
The theme of this year's Congress is "Prevention of disease". The meeting will start with some key lectures, and the second part of the congress will be organised in four main sessions: Skin cancer, Atopic dermatitis, Occupational dermatitis/Contact allergy and Psoriasis.
For more information on travel bursaries to the meeting please see our news item.
The UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network (UKDCTN) runs 3 award schemes each year.
More information is available from the UKDCTN Award website.
