Biography

I am a clinical research with 8 years experience of clinical trials. Gained during 8 years of working on commercial trials looking at different therapies. I was involved in setting trials by gaining information from the protocol and creating documents that would be used by staff to promote consistency and avoid bias in data. I was involved in scintigraphic imaging, tracking radiolabelled tablets, solutions in order to determine their deposition. During the time I also was involved in blood processing and shipment.

During the last year I have continued with research, working with stroke patients by conducting Acute stroke trials and preventative trials at Derby Hospital. We have 6 trials in our portfolio and each day is a different day owing to the number of stroke patients admitted and whether they are eligible for any of the trials. It is a job with a lot of satisfaction as I get time to spend with patients on a one to one, teaching them about the trial and obtaining consent if they are happy to proceed with the trial.
