Summary

The first day of this fascinating event will be a seminar featuring leading academics from The University of Nottingham and the five major schools of architecture and planning in China: Tsinghua, Tianjin, Tongji, South East and Nanjing. The focus will be on international best practice in eco-city planning and design.

The second day will be a workshop involving academics and leading representatives from municipal authorities in Shanghai who are looking to develop innovative ideas for real projects in the city.

A selected number of postgraduate taught and research students will be invited to attend. The evolving outcomes will be displayed during the day for the visiting public. In addition, there will be a two-day permanent exhibition of eco-city planning and design teaching and research from The University of Nottingham.
