    Research within the Schol of Clinical Sciences

    The research reputation of the School of Medical and Surgical Sciences is such that it attracts over £5,000,000 of external research funding each year. The School is constantly striving to improve this reputation. Its research infrastructure is primarily funded by research grants and collaboration with industry and is provided by over 60 academic staff, 170 postgraduates and over 160 support staff.

    Research groups range in size from the multi-faculty based, internationally renowned Research Institutes to smaller divisional based research centres.

    The School welcomes enquiries from international students wishing to undertake postgraduate research in one of the specialist areas of research detailed below.
