Aqua fit classes

Aqua fit is aerobics in the water. It uses the resistance of the water to give you an all-over body work out. It's also kinder to your joints and muscles with minimal impact when you're moving in the water.

Water exercise doesn’t get much more inclusive than aqua fit – virtually anybody can take part and sessions are suitable for all needs, even people who can’t swim.

We offer a weekly aqua fit class which is available to students, staff and community members. Please see our timetable for the latest class session, and for an overview of what our aqua fit classes involve please go to our class description pages.

Swimfit

Swimming is one of the best ways to get fit. There is probably no better non-impact cardiovascular workout than swimming to work off calories and tone muscles, but sometimes it's difficult to motivate yourself to keep going back.

Swimfit is all about getting results and helping you achieve your goal, whether that is to lose weight, to tone, to improve technique or just to become fitter and stronger.

It’s a fun and effective way to get those results you want, and because water is 800 times denser than air, you are most likely to get there a lot quicker than by doing any other workout!
