The University offers swimming lessons to members of sports facilties and members of the local community, throughout the year.
Our lessons are all run by qualified and experienced Level 2 ASA Swimming Teachers, who follow the ASA Swimming Curriculum.
The 25 metre pool has a moveable floor which goes from 0.9 metres to 1.8 metres in depth, making it ideal for all levels of swimming ability.
We run lessons for adults and children in a number of different formats, to suit your preferences and budget.
The next set of group lessons for adults and children run on the following dates:
*Please note that there is no lesson on Tuesday 5th June, as it is a bank holiday.
You can book on to these classes on Tuesday 1st May from 6.30pm onwards at the Swimming Pool reception.
Group lessons for children run at the University swimming pool on a Tuesday evening and Saturday morning.
They take place over 10 consecutive weeks and are 30 minutes in duration. The current cost for 10 lessons is £45.

Private lessons are also available in 30 minute, 45 minute or 60 minute blocks, priced at £17, £21 and £25 respectively. If you are interested, please contact the swimming pool reception on telephone number: 0115 9515582 and leave your personal details and a swimming teacher from the University will call you when a space becomes available.
