The Public Sector Equality Duty of the Equality Act (2010) requires public bodies to publish relevant equality information by 31 January each year.

The information presented here includes generic information and guidance, statistical data, reports of student surveys and relevant student policies.

Student Surveys and Involvement/engagement activities

The Students’ Union has a number of network groups each served by a representational officer: disabled students, black and ethnic minority students lesbian gay, bisexual and transgendered students, International Students, Women, Mature Students;

 

Student Equality and Diversity Advisory Group

The Quality Manual

is relevant to both staff and students. It was established in 1995 and aims to act as a central source of information for policies and procedures which support the University in its aim to assure the quality of its learning, teaching and supervision. Students may expect advice from tutors on the use and interpretation of the Quality Manual if they need it.  There are sections of the Quality Manual that have diversity elements within them.
