Is my programme eligible?
We are currently able to certify federal loans for degree courses only, with the exception of courses in:
- Medicine (BMedSci, BMBS)
- Nursing
- Veterinary Sciences
We cannot certify loans for students on the following programmes:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Postgraduate diploma programmes
- Foundation programmes
- Distance learning/correspondence programmes
- Programmes that require a compulsory period of study abroad or internship
Students studying these courses may be eligible for private loans.
The overseas campuses of The University of Nottingham in China and Malaysia are not currently eligible to certify Federal Direct Loans.
Outgoing exchange and study abroad students
If you choose to study abroad during your programme of study and this is not a requirement of your programme, we can only certify loans for the period you are studying in Nottingham and cannot certify loans for the period of study abroad.
Incoming exchange and study abroad students
If you are an incoming exchange or study abroad student your loans should be administered by your home university in the USA.
