We are working to significantly reduce the amount of waste we produce and send to landfill. We have lots of recycling points across our campuses and recycle a variety of waste items, from cans, tins, paper, glass and plastic, to food waste, clothing, fluorescent tubes and batteries.

The University actively encourages low carbon, healthy forms of transport.
We provide free Hopper Bus services between our three campuses and all campuses have excellent public transport connectivity. Local bus operators offer discounted rates to students, including £1 fares on many route within Nottingham. Further information about bus services around and to the University.
The University is criss-crossed with cycle paths and has secure cycle parking on all campuses. There are also good cycle path networks across the county. It also runs the following cycle schemes for students.
