Even more hopper buses

HopperBusAround £200,000 has been invested in additional hopper bus services for the new academic year. There were over one million passenger journeys in 2011/12 and these new services will cater for the increasing number of people hopping on.

Nottingham to Derby

A new service between University Park and Royal Derby Hospital started on Monday 3 September 2012. The introduction of the daytime service reflects the increased teaching and learning provision on site at Royal Derby Hospital, in part due to the recent opening of a state-of-the-art Education Centre for the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Physiotherapy.

Sutton Bonington

From Monday 24 September 2012 there will also be a half-hourly daytime bus service to Sutton Bonington during term-time. Plus, in response to feedback, departure times have been adjusted to allow more time to get to lectures and appointments starting on the hour.

Doubling up

And for those travelling between University Park and Jubilee Campus, a double decker bus is replacing one of the existing single deckers.

All hopper bus timetables are available from the University’s Bus Services webpage and Premiere Travel – who operate the services – will also provide updates on Twitter via @UoNHopper.
