Trent & Peak Archaeology / The University of Nottingham Court Houses, 26-28 High Pavement, HC5   This cave system lies beneath St Mary’s Chambers, Family Law Specialists. The cave system is accessed down two flights of stairs in a basement area.  Within the basement area are a number of brick lined chambers reputedly once used as cells for prisoners from High Pavement prison. Descending from this area is a flight of rock cut sandstone steps leading down to a horseshoe shaped cave, with shallow bench shaped thralls around all walls.
