Trent & Peak Archaeology / The University of Nottingham The Dragon Public House   The Dragon Public House is situated just off Nottingham’s market square. The cave system below the pub is used as cellars. Much of the cave is a typical pub cellar system, with a shaft opening to street level at the front (and one at the rear) for barrel delivery. There is a second chamber at the rear of the cave which was almost certainly once a separate cave, possibly belonging to a different property.
