What is a Foundation course?
Foundation courses are designed for those of you whose school-leaving qualifications do not meet the requirements for direct entry to undergraduate programmes (for example, an incorrect mix of A level subjects).
They provide the best possible grounding for entry into our range of undergraduate degree courses. Provided you successfully complete the foundation year and pass relevant modules at the required standard, you will be able to progress to year one of your chosen degree.
The University of Nottingham offers a number of foundation courses for UK/EU students, and for non-EU international students. Please see the links below for more information on the courses available to you.
International students - Need help with your English language skills?
The Centre for English Language Education (CELE) offers high quality academic English and study skills programmes to prepare you to study your degree in English.
