Biotechnology YES

Biotechnology Young Entrepreneurs Scheme (YES) is an annual business plan competition designed to raise awareness of commercialisation amongst bioscience postgraduate and postdoctoral researchers. YES was developed and is delivered by a partnership between UNIEI and the BBSRC.

YES was launched in 1995 and challenges teams of participants to prepare a mock business plan to commercialise an idea thus widening exposure to the bioscience industry and providing the opportunity to develop ‘entrepreneurial skills’. Over the past fifteen years YES has provided entrepreneurial training for over 2,500 researchers.
