David Ross qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. He co-founded The Carphone Warehouse Group plc in 1991 and has also been involved in leading many other public and private companies, including National Express, Big Yellow Group, Wembley Stadium and Trinity Mirror.
David has also been a member of Sport England, the Home Office Audit Committee, and Lord Carter's Review of Legal Aid Procurement. David is also a Trustee of the National Portrait Gallery.
He is passionate about developing educational opportunities for young people, and is the Sponsor of the David Ross Education Trust. Through the Trust, David provides funding, expertise and time to 30 academies across the East Midlands and East England - providing unique education to over 9,000 children and young people.
