The Location of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science
The University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science is based at the Sutton Bonington Campus, 10 miles south of University Park, on the Nottinghamshire / Leicestershire border.
Easily accessible from the M1 (junction 24), the campus has its own teaching buildings, hall of residence and sports facilities. There is a free daytime shuttle-bus service to University Park, and regular local buses to Nottingham and Loughborough.

Directions
By Car (from the M1)
Exit the M1 at junction 24 (signed to Nottingham South / East Midlands Airport / A453 / A6).
Take the A6 towards Kegworth / Loughborough.
After around ¼ mile, take the first left turn, signposted to Sutton Bonington.
About ¾ mile down this road you will reach the end of the village, and go over a canal bridge - across the bridge, take the right hand turn signposted to the University Campus.
At the next crossroads, turn right again onto College Road.
From Leicester / Loughborough
Leicester via A6 to Loughborough.
Loughborough via A6 to Hathern.
Leaving hathern via A6, turn right along A6006 (signed Rempstone / Melton Mowbray). Pass through the village of Zouch, and take the first turning on the left for Sutton Bonington.
Pass through Sutton Bonington, following the main road up the hill and over a railway bridge.
After the bridge, follow the main road round to the left, and the campus is on the right hand side.
From Nottingham
Cross Clifton Bridge along the ring road (A52 / A453) and get into the correct lane for Birmingham and M1 South (A453) marked by overhead signs.
Follow the A453 through Clifton - at the roundabout, take the first exit towards Gotham.
In Gotham, turn right for Kingston-on-Soar (marked Kingston).
Go straight over the mini-roundabout.
In Kingston-on-Soar take the left fork towards Sutton Bonnington.
Go straight across the cross roads, and the campus is on the left hand side.
From the North West / Derby
From Derby, take the A6 south and join the A50 eastbound (signed M1 / Nottingham / Leicester).
At the end of the A50, follow signs for the M1 South - when you reach the roundabout at the M1 junction, do not join the motorway - instead, take the A6 towards Loughborough / Kegworth.

Visitors should visit the main reception for a visitors permit before making their way to the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, which is signposted throughout the campus.
By Train
The nearest railway stations to the Sutton Bonington campus are Loughborough and East Midlands Parkway.
By Bus
Public buses run from Loughborough and Nottingham to Sutton Bonington (Rainbow 5 and Paul S Winson coaches). From East Midlands Airport, take the Barton's "Rainbow 5" service. Buses leave from outside the Airport Arrivals hall.
