Biography

· 24 years of comprehensive high-level participation and experience in the production animal industries, encompassing academia, diagnostics and agribusiness, focusing on pig health and management. Active collaborations with multinational pharmaceutical, biotechnology and biologics companies and international regulatory authorities.

· Faculty and University level expertise in administration of veterinary school funding, curricula, staff deployment, community and business links.

· Considerable skills and experience in strategic planning and hands-on delivery of livestock medicine and pathology` teaching programs both at undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

· Extensive and multifaceted leadership experience in the planning, execution and reporting of successful livestock veterinary research programs. Many of these programs have delivered tangible benefits in terms of new animal drug registrations and a major international livestock vaccine.

· Leadership in community projects targeted at mentoring young professionals and strong skills in delivery of team and project messages in a variety of formats - professional, academic and commercial.
