Il testo indaga alcuni esempi miliari di analisi iconologica, prendendo avvio da uno più grandi storici e critici dell’arte del secolo scorso, il Prof. Erwin Panofsky, interessato ai problemi di metodologia ed estetica. Panofsky nel quarto capitolo di “Studi di iconologia” analizza la figura di Cupido con una ricchezza indescrivibile di fonti e citazioni puntuali, seguendo nell’analisi un percorso sia sincronico che diacronico.

This article describes an active learning approach to this course, using review articles to focus discussion and reveal gaps in student knowledge.
