2.5 Corrosion processes: galvanic series
The I-35W bridge collapse in Minneapolis in August 2007, resulting in at least 13 deaths, illustrates the importance of structural integrity. This unit looks at the investigation that followed the collapse of the Silver Bridge over the Ohio River in 1967 which demonstrates how the study of safe design and the assessment of components and structures under load is of increasing importance in engineering design.

Motor Exam: Normal Exam: Upper Extremities - Inspection & Palpation
The muscles are inspected for bulk and fasciculations and, when indicated, palpated for tenderness, consistency and contractures. The first principle of neurologic diagnosis is regional or anatomical localization. In order to become skillful the student must understand how structure relates to function of the nervous system. The neurologic examination permits "dissection" of the nervous system and localizes the disease when present. Instead of simply memorizing the components of the exam, a logi
Molly Brown: Biography of a Changing Nation
The true story of Margaret Brown transcends the limitation of myth, revealing a woman of extraordinary spirit and complexity who embodied the issues of her times and the power of individual action. This reformer worked hard to make a difference and her confidence made it possible for her to help others and this 2:30 video helps explains these. Unfortunately, it just touches on them so this video could be used as a discovery lesson since it includes reformers, mining, and even the Titanic.
3.4 Managing across interfaces
The management of processes or operations is the very essence of any kind of business enterprise, and it is critically important that they are designed and managed well. This course taster uses case studies and models to illustrate the importance of effective operations management and outlines the steps to preparing your own operations proposal.

5.6 Vibrating air column
How do different instruments produce the sounds we classify as music? How do we decide whether something – a piano, a vacuum cleaner – is actually a musical instrument? In this unit we investigate the way vibrations and sound waves are harnessed to create music.
5.4 Vibrating string: normal modes of vibration
How do different instruments produce the sounds we classify as music? How do we decide whether something – a piano, a vacuum cleaner – is actually a musical instrument? In this unit we investigate the way vibrations and sound waves are harnessed to create music.

Dr. Alan Kapuler on Understanding Nature and Food Growth
(NOTE: This video may be preceded by a short ad.) Dr. Alan Kapuler is a man who thinks on big time scales, and across wide geographic spheres of reality. A molecular biologist by training, as a young adult, Kapuler experienced an almost spiritual connection from working in the garden. He became a public domain organic plant breeder, and an impassioned advocate for the protection of the natural world. Kapuler believes, the interconnectedness of all living things, biodiversity itself, is the true

The Harlem Renaissance (2:53)
As African Americans flocked to Northern cities in the 1920s, they created a new social and cultural landscape and this video shows how this helped provide the ingredients that resulted in an abundance of creativity from writers, to artists, to singers. Excellent overview.

Without it we are dead! Water is essential, but what processes must it go through to become fit for human consumption? This unit will guide you through the continuous cycling of water between land, open water surfaces and the sea before moving on to an overview of the water treatment and supply process.

Einstein: Einstein's Miracle Year (2:55)
The ambitious Jewish born Albert Einstein challenges centuries of scientific thought with his new controversial idea, the General Theory of Relativity. This video gives insights into how he came upon the idea of such new concepts. A great way to get students to think about observations as part of the scientific method. Also important is the fact that the establishment essentially ignored his ideas.
The Crystal Capers: #5
All of Auburn's sports teams are "all in" for each other.
