The Papers of K. Leroy Irvis document the life of one of Pennsylvania's prominent politicians. Among his achievements, Irvis was elected Speaker of the House in 1977, the only African-American to hold the position in the United States at that time. The collection contains a wide variety of material, including correspondence, legislative material, interviews, photographs, publications, and campaign literature.
Papers of Abraham L. Wolk, 1937-1968
Abraham L. Wolk was born in 1891 and was a Pittsburgh jurist and a former Pittsburgh city councilman whose interests included smoke control, industrial health programs, the "Pay-as-you-go" tax program, and the Civic Light Opera. The collection contains correspondence, memoranda and notes, writings, speeches, memorabilia, photographs and scrapbooks. The scrapbooks have been microfilmed.

Quay, 1833-1904. Also included in the collection is correspondence of M.S. Quay's secretary, Frank Willing Leech; Dr. John Oliver, University of Pittsburgh history professor and various Quay family members.

The Wise Oil and Gas Company was incorporated in 1927 in order to acquire gas wells held by James D. Callery and A.J. Wise in partnership. The Atelier Cézanne is the original studio of the artist Paul Cézanne, located in Aix-en-Provence, France, where the artist was born. The studio has been preserved for visitors and turned into a small museum where a range of facilities are offered, such as an audio-visual room, temporary exhibitions and a library-shop.
