Inside Tahrir Square
Greek journalist Iason Athanasiadis is no stranger to uprisings in oppressed nations, having covered Iran’s Green revolution (and been jailed for his work). So it was not even a close call for him to ditch the margaritas during a brief respite in San Antonio, as news in Cairo “acquired an extraordinary force.” He offers a rem
Risky business
Michelle Tuveson, Executive Director of the Centre for Risk Studies based at Cambridge Judge Business School, explains why there will have to be changes in risk modelling going forward. The next generation of catastrophe models, she says, will need to be holistic with a greater level of sophistication in areas of assessing threats systematically by reviewing the science and evidence base for threats.

Factors that influence health: An introduction
What factors influence our health? A lot of attention is focused on people's behaviour - their decisions to smoke, drink, over-eat and so on - with strong messages about the changes needed to become healthier. But people's behaviour is influenced by circumstances and events, friends and family, education, job prospects, income, housing and environment. In this unit we look at how these factors, these wider social determinants, work together to influence our health for good or ill.

ENS Lyon - Le migrant connecté (Dana Diminescu) (video)
How to Quote Something or Someone
When quoting something or someone, always use quotation marks, credit the individual who said it and include a context of time and place to help clarify its relevance. Use basic copyrighting and citation rules when quoting someone is the focus of this 1:21 minute long video. No examples are shown in this talking head video. At best, a basic guide to what a quote is with the teacher left to explain how to make quote marks and where to place them.
