The module will investigate some of the key issues that have characterised transatlantic security cooperation since 1990. The module will focus on issues that relate to the security of the European continent as well as to matters of global concern.

Regularity conditions for Banach function algebras
In June 2009 the Operator Algebras and Applications International Summer School was held in Lisbon. Dr Joel Feinstein taught one of the four courses available on Regularity conditions for Banach function algebras. The module introduces those statistical methods and concepts most applicable in economics. There are no pre-requisites: In particular, no previous knowledge of statistics will be assumed. The analysis of economic data necessarily proceeds in an environment where there is uncertainty about the processes that generated the data.
