The so-called 'Golden Period', spanning the period between the Great Depression and the Second World War, encapsulates this ambition at its most successful. A sequence of seminal works, by John Ireland, Gustav Holst, Granville Bantock, Herbert Howells, and Sir
Inaugural Lecture Prof Nick Frost - Assessing Modern British Childhood: research, policy and practic

The Attack on Fort Sumter

The battle is explained in this slide show video and how the South stole the very weapons that were used to attack the Fort. Lincoln's decision explained and a great quote is used that foreshadows his ultimate fate as a president. The video does not have an ending to the battle so they may need to have it explained. Burning it introduces large amounts of gases into the atmosphere that harm the environment in a variety of ways. In this unit it will become apparent that the most appealing quality of coal is that there is plenty of it.
