Part of the ongoing research into polar ice trends encompasses evaluation from sophisticated computer models. At the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory at Princeton University, run by NASAs sibling agency, NOAA, researchers modeled a 5,000 year period to see how polar ice might behave over time depending on several different variables. This visualization shows a 120-year slice of that complete model, essentially offering a research window on to experimental processes that require longer time

Adding Three and Four Digit Numbers With Regrouping
A teacher shows students how to add three and four digit numbers with regrouping by using an example of planning the cost of a party. The teacher stresses writing the numbers vertically aligning the digits according to place value. The video also shows students how they will make mistakes if the numbers are not aligned. The Natural Sciences Department at Del Mar College held a Science Poster Session for students who spent their summers working as research interns across the country.
A Year Of Sunrises
Hundreds of pictures of Earth, each taken at about 06:00 local time, show the terminator - the day/night line - over the course of one year. The Earth is tilted with respect to its orbit, the so the angle of the sunrise line tilts first one way and then the other over time.
You can see Africa and Saudi Arabia to the upper right, and clouds frantically changing each day.
The images were taken with the METEOSAT-9 Earth-observing satellite.
