Sir Nicholas Serota is Director of the Tate. It is said of him, that Tate Modern, would just be a room added onto Tate Britain, without his personal vision, drive and restlessness. Sir Nicholas has a few surprising tips for managers wanting to effect change in their organisations, including the "gem" that you should appoint people around you who challenge your own views.

The research sought to illuminate notions of ‘successful teachers’ by examining those factors contributing to the success of teachers working in schools in challenging circumstances. It also sought to contribute to debates over what ‘challenging circumstances’ might be. This was a joint research project between Lancashire LEA and St Martin’s College.
Futurelab Workshop - Digital Inclusion: Building fairer futures, challenging educational divides
